Steve Jobs

Apple Inc.

“We’re here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else even be here?” “Our goal is to make the best devices in the world, not to be the biggest.” “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” — Steve Jobs In many ways, Steve Jobs is the epitome of entrepreneurial ambition. Jobs founded Apple Computer with Steve Wozniak in a garage in “Silicon Valley” in the San Francisco Bay Area, California in 1976. When the company went public in 1980, it generated more capital than any stock market launch since the Ford Motor Company in 1956, and created 300 new millionaires overnight. By the time of Jobs’ death in October 2011, Apple had become the largest technology firm in the world with revenue for the year of $127.8 billion in sales. In March 2012 its stock market value had reached $500 billion.
